What is KVKK?

KVKK means the Law on the Protection of Personal Data. The KVKK Law enacted in 2016 regulates the principles and procedures to be followed by real and legal persons who use and process people's information and protect the privacy of private life, especially fundamental rights and freedoms.

From this point of view, what is KVKK? in response to the question; KVKK is a law that aims to protect the privacy of private life in the processing of personal data and regulates the obligations of individuals and institutions that process personal data and the rules they must comply with.

​

In Article 2 of the KVKK, it is stated that the provisions of the Law, as the scope of the Law, shall apply to real persons whose personal data are processed, and to natural and legal persons who process this data fully or partially automatically or by non-automatic means provided that they are part of any data recording system.
